There are very few smells in this world that are better than fresh bread. The warm and comforting smell can make any place feel like home, even when you’re miles away from home. I love this recipe for whole wheat focaccia because it’s simple, yet tastes and looks like something you’d order from a high end restaurant. Not to mention, it leaves that comforting bread smell in your house for hours.
There’s really not too much to say about this recipe. It’s simple, but satisfying and topped with lots of fresh flavors. I top mine with some fresh thyme, olive oil, and sea salt, but you could add your favorite herbs or veggies to make it your own!!
I use whole wheat flour for some extra fiber, but for some, this may make the bread feel a little dens. If this is you, I would recommend using all-purpose or bread flour instead. You may have to add a little more flour if you choose to do so.
